John 17:20-21

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me."

The United Churches of America seeks to emphasize this oneness within the divisions of the church.

Ephesians 4:3-5

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

In an effort to keep this unity, churches are organized by state that exemplify a common emphasis on social justice initiatives, outreach programs and strategic partnerships.

Matthew 25:35-36

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.

The UCA is establishing a new system for joining church in response to the virtual era. Churches are voted for and vetted by the community and it’s leaders. The UCA celebrates the ministries of socially-active churches while challenging local, national and global injustice.

Part of the mission is dedicated to directing interested individuals to churches that identify with underserved communities and address social needs. The UCA is a method that provides at least one church, state by state, that addresses poverty, homelessness, food insecurity, healthcare, mass incarceration and various other social concerns.

The UCA is an platform to develop Theocratic values within our democratic system. Socially-active churches exemplify God's love to people throughout the nation.  These are churches that have successfully implemented programs and initiatives that minister to the marginalized.

The churches nominated by the UCA are those with ministry systems in place that offer outreach programs and intiatives beyond the membership.

The UCA is a post-covid initiative that provides a virtual platform to highlight this collective of churches exercising innovative social justice practices. The UCA is committed to evangelizing to and combatting injustice within America through a post-denominational exhibition of ministry paradigms.

We encourage you to nominate a church that matches the criteria of a social justice church. We invite you to locate a church from our national database that offers systemic liberation through church national and global outreach.

The United Churches of America combines churches, ministries, denominations, organizations and businesses within the United States of America as a body with shared goals and interests. We are one nation, truly under God, indivisible, with liberty, doing justice for all.
